Sa Bèrtula: cosa significa?

The “Bèrtula” is the bag of the shepherd where he can bring provisions (cheese, salami, bread, water and fruit).

The shepherds carry it on the shoulders or put it on the back of their horse.

Most of the sheepfolds did not have beds and the shepherds used to put a mat or their bag, “sa bèrtula” ,on the ground, so they could insert their legs in one pocket and use the other one as a pillow and a coat as a blanket.
