Caprera

Caprera: matrimonial room.

Caprera is the second biggest island of La Maddalena’s Archipelago.
We chose this name for different reasons: first of all, because the national hero Giuseppe Garibaldi, spent here the last years of his life.

The white Garibaldi’s house (National Museum) is the proof of his life on this island. Second, because Caprera is the green lung of the Archipelago: here is possible to find an intense and multicoloured flora, especially during the Spring. The flora is composed by pines, holm-oaks, myrtle grove, wild olives, junipers, heathers, hawthorns and other plants.
Wood beams and “murales” welcome you in the room. The colour of the walls remind us of the colour of the rural paths of Caprera island.

There are some characteristic “murales” of Caprera: high pines that seem to touch the sky of an island that is still savage and romantic, the green pine forests, the military bunkers and the bust of national Hero.
The Matrimonial room with a private bathroom has the access into a balcony that looks over a small but rich garden.
In the room it is possible to admire an old lantern hung to the wall and a basket of perfumed myrtle.

The room has a closet, two hand-made night tables of chestnut wood, a candelabrum of iron and some pictures of the island. There are also a colour TV and heating.
The private bathroom has a bidet, a sink, a WC and a shower.
